We will be ministering to students at NUS (National University of Singapore) starting next week.
I lost my Bible and $500 that was in it. I left it on the plane, and went back soon after, but they couldn’t find it. “The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” Job 1:21
I just ate pig guts. They didn’t tell me until afterwards. Not my favorite. Singapore airlines is great. The flight attendants are awesome. 20 hours on the plan is a loooooong time, though. Dane (the other student missionary) is a kick. He’s crazy and outgoing and loud. We live a couple blocks from a track. I ran there this morning and did some sprints. I have never sweat that much in my entire life.
I ate squid yesterday without knowing it. Dane and I are the biggest guys in Singapore, honestly. We are known as bodyguards. I am bigger than 99% of the population. People are amazed with beat boxing. I sang “eternity” for the Navigators here (the rap song Caleb and I wrote) and I will be singing it several more times, according to our leader.
I’ve learned a little Mandarin. Our home-stay family is incredibly nice and hospitable.
Blessings,
Solomon
