Here are some updates.
Our homestay brother, Jeremy, went to the hospital twice this week. Once for a back sprain and then for an allergic reaction to the subsequent pain-killer. He’s okay. He’s the kind of guy who plays hard and always gets hurt. We had an overnight camp this week. I wrote a little theme song and Dane did the choreography. It was fun. Everybody adds “lah” to the end of their phrases. ”Yeah-lah” “Okay-lah” “No-lah.”
I ate 5 Mcdonalds ice cream cones for lunch yesterday. They don’t have many good sweets here so I had to take advantage while I could. They’re only about 40 cents US. A pint of Hagen-Daz (spelling?) is about $20. An average chicken and rice meal is about $2.50. The pricing is quite different here. I got sick last week, but I’m okay now. There is a set of twin girls here. They are 19, but look like they’re about 12 or 13.
Only 2 weeks until I’ll be home. It’s starting to fly by. That’s it for now.
