Hola amigos,

Sorry we didn’t get a post to you yesterday.  Thursday has  crept up on us and it’s hard to believe we only have one more full day in Mexico. Even as our time is drawing to a close we look forward to what the Lord has in store for us. Even in just this short week he has accomplished so much through us.

On Tuesday night a fantastic youth night/talent show was held at the Victoria Church. The sanctuary was packed out with us and our Mexican brothers and sisters. The night started with a fantastic play about how Satan can distract us from the perfect love of God. Julie, Rebecca Jensen, Jacob Jacobson, Heather Brisk, and Ben Hawkins all did a great job memorizing their lines and providing fun and meaningful entertainment. The night continued with phenomenal music by students in our youth group and in the youth group from Mexico. After the play and music, the night ended with games finally awesome worship.

Wednesday was another workday in which students continued and almost finished their work on various roofing projects in different towns. Painting also continued as well as daily preparation for VBS and
various cleaning jobs. Wednesday night saw another basketball game against the local team, the Pistones. Despite a valiant effort, our boys were overcome by size, age, bent rims, and slippery floors. At
half time the play was performed a second time and Rudy gave a short gospel message that was translated by Pablo.

Today we look forward to fellowship with our Mexican brothers and sisters, the completion of our work projects, and seeing what else God has in store for us.

Please pray for continued energy and health as the days get longer and everyone gets more tired. Pray that we would let God be our strength and comfort as our bodies fatigue. Pray for continuing wisdom for the leaders and students. Pray that we would keep our eyes open to God’s work and opportunities He gives us to share His love. Pray also for the seeds that were planted at the basketball games and the youth night; that God would work in the hearts of those who heard His message, and that they would recognize the hole in their heart that can only be filled with God?s love.

Gracias para su apoyo y sus oraciones,

The Mexico Mission Team

Missing you all very much this year. It is strange to be home and not there with you all. I didn’t escape illness this year despite having to stay behind this year. The weather is typical too. Snowing today. Enjoy the sun! It was good to read your posts. It sounds like it was an awesome time. Lord Bless you all as you travel home.
