FBC Missions

As we get settled into our temporary home for the week, we have all been realizing that there’s something different about this place. On top of the perfect weather, there’s the wonderful host families, and the awesome fellowship. Everyone is saying that the food is increible (which means incredible in english). You can never get anything quite like the Mexican food here, because they don’t bake it with love anywhere else. The problem is that it’s a constant fight between our taste buds and our stomachs. So far the taste buds are winning the battle.
We all gave thanks to the Lord and breathed a sigh of relief. We crossed the border faster than we did last year and last year it only took 5 minutes. We did however have a truck stopped by a mexican border guard. Just as they were pulling out she stopped them and demanded to see what was inside. Unfortunately for her, 200 packages of toilet paper were waiting to collapse on her as soon as the doors were open.

All of our projects have seen a smooth start. The fences are going up, the first wall of the medical clinic stands tall under Mark Adkins supervision and expertise, dry wall and texturing is being completed at Col. Juarez, and the K-39 kids are working on a few projects at the church.
The communion and kick-off service signaled the official beginning of our ministry in Mexico .Language barriers cannot break the fellowship of brothers and sisters in Christ.

Pray for strength as we’re being drained by the Mexican sun, pray for tonight’s evangalistic service at Delta, Vacation Bible School from 3:30 to 5:00 each day. We’re excited to use our new pupets to share the bible stories each day. Thanks for your support and prayer it is much appreciated.
