Missions Update

General FBC Missions February 26th, 2007 by admin

Hello everyone! Both teams to Thailand have now all made it back safely home. The Thailand Team led by Jim and Gayle Buie had a great report on Sunday. If you weren’t there, contact the team about having them come and share at your small group, Bible study, Sunday School class, or any other event. Any audience would benefit from hearing about their wonderful experiences and the work God is doing in Thailand.

The Karen Vision Team led by Glen Eickmeyer will be making a report this coming Sunday, March 4, in Room 103 at both the beginning and end of the third service. We will be sharing about the work being done to aid the Karen IDP and refugee populations as well as challenging ourselves as a church body to get involved with the persecuted church. Hope to see you there!

In the meantime, there are new photographs posted to the gallery page of the Vision Team’s trip to Thailand and Burma. Check it out!

The Operation Worldview introduction to missions class is well on its way for the second time around. Thank you to everyone for participating, including Ron and Jacqui Whisler for helping facilitate the class.

You might have seen the beautiful wood cabinetry in place in to the left of the Information Booth in the atrium. In the coming weeks, we hope to have the Missions Corner up and running. This will be a place where you can go each week and get the latest literature on upcoming missions events, FBC-supported missionaries, and even talk with visiting missionaries or our busy board members. Keep an eye out!
